This 4 Days Safari from Mombasa visit three private sanctuaries - Ngutuni, Ziwani and Taita Hills. All these sanctuaries are located on the peripheries of both Tsavo East and Tsavo West National Parks and they offer the experience of Walking Safaris and Night Game drives which are prohibited in the parks.
Pick up from your hotel or Airport early in the morning and drive to Ngutuni Game Sanctuary arriving in time for mid-morning game viewing you drive to Ngutuni Lodge for check-in, lunch and a short rest. Afternoon game drive in the sanctuary to try and catch sight of as many wild animals and bird species as possible. Dinner and overnight. Sprawled in open grassland with the Sagala Hills standing tall in the background is the Ngutuni Safari Lodge. The lodge is located in the Ngutuni Sanctuary – a private game sanctuary that covers an area of 10,000 acres bordered by Tsavo East National Park on three sides. Here guests can spend time on the viewing decks of the lodge and watch as herds of elephants, zebras, buffaloes and many species of birds visit the watering hole below to drink, bath or graze on the surrounding foliage. It is not unusual for cheetahs and lions to visit the waterhole to quench their thirst. Accommodation: Ngutuni Safari Lodge Early in morning game drive return back to your lodge for breakfast. After breakfast check out and drive to Ziwani Game Sanctuary for game viewing before checking in to the Voyager Ziwani Tented Camp for lunch and some rest. Afternoon will be spent on leisure relaxing by the lake side watching hippo and birds or you may opt to go for afternoon game drive. Night Game drive within the Sanctuary before dinner and overnight. With a spectacular view of mystical Mount Kilimanjaro, and easy access to the wild attractions of Tsavo West National Park, Voyager Ziwani offers a tranquil retreat in one of the wildest places left on Earth. The camp sits on a secluded dam on the Sante River – home to turtles, crocodiles and hundreds of basking hippos. Every tent at the voyager Ziwani Camp has it's own veranda with a view on the river. It is a perfect mixture of safari feeling and a high-class accommodation in the middle of nature. Delicious African cuisines including vegetarian dishes are offered. After breakfast check out with game drive en-route proceed to LUMO Community Wildlife Conservancy which is contagious with Taita Hills Game Sanctuary arrive in time for lunch at the Lions Bluff Lodge. Later Afternoon game drive in Lumo Conservancy and Taita Hills Game Sanctuary in search of lions, elephants, zebra, giraffe and different antelopes among other animals. Dinner and overnight at the Lions Bluff Lodge. Lions' Bluff Lodge is a small, exclusive lodge which clings to the edge of a bluff suspended above Lumo Community Wildlife Sanctuary/Conservancy/Taita Hills Game Sanctury in Tsavo West. The lodge overlooks mind-blowing views of the plains of the Lumo sanctuary and Kilimanjaro in the horizon. The 500km² of Lumo Community Wildlife Sanctuary (LUMO is an association of the Lualenyi, Mramba and Ossa ranches whose communities have come together to promote wildlife tourism) is one of Kenya’s most successful new community conservation initiatives. Lumo shares an open boundary with the much smaller Taita Hills Sanctuary, and visitors can do game drives in both areas. Accommodation: Lions' Bluff Lodge Wake early in the morning to witness the sunrise over the rolling savannah grasslands of LUMO Conservancy, accompanied by early morning sights, scents and songs of morning birds calling out to welcome the new day. After a cup of coffee or tea we will go out for the morning game drive. At morning animals are most active, you may catch them do something fun, like chasing prey or hiding from predators or just being visible. We do an extensive game drive looking for the past night’s activity that the day has to offer – probably hoping to catch sight of lions feasting on a prey animal they had downed at night. After two and a half hours of game viewing we will head to Lions Bluff Lodge’s bush breakfast site where you will enjoy buffet breakfast. Itinerary
