This Safari takes you to the private game sanctuaries - Ngutuni which borders Tsavo East National Park and Taita Hills Game Sanctuary which border Tsavo West National Park. Since the sanctuaries are not fenced, animals walk freely between them and the parks.
Leave Mombasa very early in the morning and drive to Ngutuni Game Sanctuary where you will arrive in time for a morning Safari Game drive until lunch hours. Our lunch will be had at Ngutuni Safari Lodge which has a waterhole that attracts all manner of birds and wildlife. After a short rest we drive to Taita Hills Game Sanctuary for an afternoon Safari Game drive looking out for more wildlife and bird species then drive towards Salt Lick Lodge for dinner and overnight. Ngutuni Sanctuary is a 10,000 acre private game sanctuary surrounded on three sides by Tsavo East National Park with view of the Sagala Hills, Mwakingali and other nearby rock outcrops. Ngutuni Sanctuary and the surrounding national park is best known today for their fantastic variety of wildlife including lion, cheetah, elephant, buffalo as well as a huge variety of plains game and bird life. Wake up to an early morning game drive before breakfast. After breakfast enjoy a mid-morning game viewing then drive Taita Hills Lodge where you will have lunch. After lunch drive back to Mombasa arriving in the evening. Optional after breakfast and a short game drive you will be transferred to the Taita Hills Game Lodge for leisure as you wait for lunch then depart to Mombasa. Covering an area of 28,000 acres Taita Hills Game Sanctuary is a private game sanctuary situated just across the road from the vast Tsavo West. Animals roam freely between the two areas and in the surrounding hills. Consisting of mainly grass plains and woodlands Taita is home to about 300 species of birds and a host of wildlife such as lion, elephants, oryx, lesser kudu, zebra, impala, dik-dik plus a wide variety of smaller creatures.
